Beacon is proud to be showing this season’s collection of Women’s Adventure Films at Beacon on Sunday 2nd October 2022 in the lecture room, 7:00pm. Join us to see beautiful filmography of amazing and inspiring women adventurers, while meeting up with friends and maybe having a bite to eat and a drink in the cafe. We’ll be operating the bar for this event. Tickets are £12.
Also, on Saturday October 1st we will be hosting Round 2 of the BMC Youth Climbing Series. This will take place between 9am and approximately 2pm, after which the routes the young competitors will have been attempting will be available to everyone. Test yourself! The rest of the wall will remain open as usual all day.
The last event in September will be Sam Farnsworth’s *FREE workshop on rope techniques, such as prussiking, aid climbing and setting up an assisted hoist. There are limited spaces, so book at the Beacon reception asap. Morning and afternoon sessions are on Saturday 24th September, and are open to any climber 18 years and over.
*free to monthly subscribers to the wall, or £55.
With winter coming and those ever popular aggregates – the lead aggregate commences on 4th October, the bouldering aggregate one week later – now is the time to consider paying for your climbing by monthly subscription. This is the most economical and fuss-free way to pay for your climbing, and you can climb as often as you want. Ask at reception when you’re coming in for your next fix! NB we will also be entering the 21st century (at last) with a dedicated app for the aggregates – watch this space!
