When school’s out… climb more! During the school holidays we’re running additional climbing sessions, in addition to our regular Saturday bouldering club sessions, suitable for experienced young climbers. You don’t need to be enrolled at Beacon Climbing Centre to attend either – anyone visiting the area but already registered with NICAS or NIBAS is welcome to join in too! Keen to get involved? If you want to reserve a place on any of the sessions you can do this easily and quickly using our simple online booking system. Just click on the buttons below.

NICAS Sessions.

These fully instructed roped climbing sessions are for experienced young climbers already enrolled in the NICAS programme at Beacon Climbing Centre or at another awarding centre. The sessions are a chance for young climbers to enjoy and progress with climbing outside of our regular weekly NICAS clubs operated during term-time. Please bring your NICAS logbook if it is not held at Beacon.

  • Tuesday 12:00 – 1:30pm. Suitable for all NICAS levels.

  • Thursday 12:00 – 1:30pm. Suitable for all NICAS levels.

  • £12 / person.

Bouldering Club.

Our weekly Saturday bouldering sessions continue to operate as usual throughout school holidays too. Participants will get loads of climbing done and get tips and advice on how to climb lots of different styles from steeper walls that require a bit of muscle power to tenuous slabs where movement skills are the key to success! Please note that Bouldering Club is for experienced young climbers only and the sessions do not include any roped climbing.

  • Every Saturday 10:00am – 11.30am.

  • £10 / person.
