Here at Beacon Climbing Centre we are actively monitoring the situation regarding the current pandemic of COVID-19 together with the guidance provided by The Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC). In line with the current advice, we have no plans to close the centre and we are currently open as normal.
We are committed to delivering good hygiene standards and our staff are cleaning key areas throughout the day. We kindly ask that all visitors to Beacon help us by following the guidance from PUBLIC HEALTH WALES and the NHS in minimising the spread of all viruses and diseases.
In particular, we ask that you:
Wash your hands regularly with soap and water including both before and after climbing.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze.
Put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards.
Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.
If you are able to pay by contactless card in the centre rather than cash, this may help to reduce transmission of the disease.
Please avoid visiting the centre if you are displaying any of the symptoms of COVID-19 or have recently returned from any affected areas. If you are worried about symptoms, please call NHS 111. Do not go directly to your GP.
With the situation moving rapidly we shall continue to update you on any changes to the situation. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
