Beacon Climbing

Location

Some people say we're in the middle of nowhere – we like to think we’re in the middle of everywhere! We’re just a few miles from the A55 to the north, the A5 to the east, and there is straightforward access from the Llyn in the west and along the west Wales coast from the south. We also have some of the best views of Anglesey, the Lleyn Peninsula and Ireland! For map-readers, our grid ref is SH534607.

By Public Transport

There are regular buses from Bangor, Caernarfon and Llanberis to Llanrug. From Llanrug you may be able to get one of the occasional buses that pass through Ceunant to Waunfawr, and get dropped off at the end of the Beacon track. Otherwise, it can be quite a pleasant half hour walk up the hill from Llanrug! Slightly quicker to walk from Waunfawr.
